An advisor to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and US Senator Scott Brown took shots at the "It Gets Better Campaign," using a twitter account he created with a fake name. The Boston Globe reports Eric Fehrnstrom used the alias Alan Khazei and under the Twitter handle @CrazyKhazei posted: "I promise to devote all my time in office to making gay videos. Shame on Scott Brown for focusing on jobs!" Brown, the only Republican member of the Massachusetts congressional delegation, was criticized for not participating in the It Gets Better project. Fehrnstrom was exposed as the author Tuesday night when he sent a tweet in the "CrazyKhazei" tone from his personal Twittter account. The Globe reports: "That can often happen when a person with multiple accounts chooses the wrong distribution channel on social media aggregation software such as HootSuite or TweetDeck." Fehrnstrom admitted he was "CrazyKhazei," telling reporters the account was a "way of lightening things up." He added that people in the world "take our politics too seriously." Fehrnstrom was the communications director for former governor Romney and now advises the Republican presidential candidate on campaign strategies.
